The propane is usually stored in a fuel tank, that must be changed out when empty. It is vital for the driver to check that the tank is fastened securely in place prior to starting the engine.
Propane is a cold liquid that could burn the skin if it comes in contact with it. Following safety precautions is vital when the tank is being changed out or when the unit is being refueled . Smoking is forbidden in the fueling area. Fueling must never be done near an ignition source or open flame. The driver should put on personal protective equipment when fueling or changing the tank.
