Case 4 Wheel Drive Forklift

During 1842, Inventor Jerome Increase Case founded Case in Racine. He started making threshing equipment. The company later gained international recognition as the initial builder of steam engines for its agricultural application. In time, the company grew to become the world's biggest maker of steam engines.

By the year 1912, Case had become established in the construction machine industry. The rapidly began to manufacture road building equipment such as graders and steam rollers. Case grew their construction machine company through various acquisitions, starting with the American Tractor Corporation in the year 1957. Case had expanded their company by the mid-1990s to become the top manufacturer of medium-sized to light-sized construction equipment.

In the year 1999, Case merged with New Holland to become CNH Global. This corporation became responsible for marketing some of the globe's leading brands of agricultural and construction equipment.

A long line of industry firsts have been undertaken by Case. They have continued to take a leadership role in pioneering new solutions and products within the material handling business.
