Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized to transport things and materials around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated with care to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Machine must be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet must be carefully stacked in order to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
To be able to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be in the middle to be able to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you as the thrust can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop abruptly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
