Genie Zoom Boom Maine

Genie Zoom Boom Maine

Bud Bushnell established Genie Industries in 1966, after he bought the manufacturing rights to a material lift that functioned on compressed air. The name Genie came from the "magic in the bottle" which was utilized to raise and lower the hoist. This device greatly impressed a lot of clients and thus, the name was born.

Genie expanded operations and established itself into different new markets, because the need for work lifts and platforms grew. Over time, as the requirements for new machinery to meet numerous applications grew, the company made itself known in numerous new markets. Like for example, Genie went into making telehandlers, stick booms, light towers, man-lifts and articulated booms.

Because of the economic recession during the beginning of the 2000s, Genie decided to acquire a partner who had the same values. They partnered up along with Terex Corporation. This company has a history acquiring equipment manufacturers throughout the globe who proved to be a good business match. Genie Industries was sold during the year 2002 and became a part of Terex Corporation.

During the early years after the sale, it was determined to maintain the Genie brand within the Terex Aerial Work Platforms or AWP segment of Terex, due to the name's solid reputation in the marketplace. Therefore, all Genie machinery continue to be marketed under the Genie brand.

The company takes great pride in taking advice from and listening to their customers. Genie has always been continually devoted to improving the quality and efficiency in addition to minimizing wastes. Even long after the sale has been closed, the company focuses on offering outstanding support. These are the very work practices that have made Genie a trusted brand over the last decades and continue to keep their reputation for quality and top-of-the-line machinery.

The Bi-Energy and DC machines offered by Genie offers emission-free, quiet operation even in the most delicate work environments. Where the equipment should be driven significant distances, like for example in industrial situations, the Genie bi-energy system combines the power of a diesel-powered generator with the benefits of a 48V DC equipment.

Compared to any of the various kinds of aerial platforms, telescopic booms offer greater horizontal reach overall. These machinery are ideal for limited access areas in construction and other industrial environments. The Genie Telescopic S booms have been designed to offer utmost productivity. These machines deliver supreme traction and the drive speed you need in order to travel around the work site and job area.
