Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by traditional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
